Type 2 Safety Light Curtain
With the SF2B series of safety light curtains, SUNX has built off of the successful features of previous models to create an easily integrated, Type 2 solution, all within one of the smallest packages on the market.
The no dead zone design ensures that the light curtain can be placed on the inside frame of your machine, thus creating a more efficient integration, with less potential for damage to the unit from an external source.
The SF2B is available in two standard types:
- Hand Protection Type: Minimum sensing object size of 27mm(1.063") with a beam pitch of 20mm.
- Arm/Foot Protection Type: Minimum sensing object size of 47mm (1.850") with a beam pitch of 40mm.
All types are available in either NPN or PNP transistor output models.
High Speed Response
The SF2B series has a universal 15ms response time, regardless of the number of channels, the beam axis pitch, or the number of units connected in series. The result is a simplification of the calculation work involved in setting safety distances on your machine. The response time, coupled with the ultra small beam pitch of the finger protection type, allows for installation of the light curtain much closer to danger point than a conventional model.
ELCA Function
The SF2B also incorporates an advanced interference prevention system that not only cancels the effect of high intensity extraneous light but also avoids mutual interference with other units by shifting the scan timing of the light curtain.
Easy Maintenance
The SF2B is equipped with an easy to read digital error indicator that makes troubleshooting extremely simple.
SUNX also provides a number of convenient mounting options as well as available front protection covers that offer added resistance to external impact and debris.
Optional Control Unit
SUNX offers two optional control units.
- Plug-in Type Control Unit SF-C11: Provides quick connection with a removable terminal block.
- Slim Type Control Unit SF-C13: With only a 22mm thickness, this control unit can be placed in even the smallest control boxes.
